Often times we tend to be a follower rather than a leader. At times that can be good but on the other hand it can get us in a lot of trouble. Once we start falling into the habit of being a follower we fall into the trap of becoming someone we’re not. This could be for many reasons, just to name a few; wanting to “fit in”, fear of being judged, and just simply not knowing what our destiny is in life or where God wants us to go.
Having some experience in the past couple years I’ve learned that girls tend to think they need that guy or a certain person in their life to “complete” them. Well let me tell you first hand; the only person you need to “complete” you is God. Take some time to be single and reflect on what your beliefs and values are, where you stand with different situations, and what you want your future to look like for YOU.
In everything you do follow the ways of the Lord. If you get on the wrong path or stray away listen to those trying to steer you back. There are going to be some rough patches in your life but with God leading, you following him, and then you leading others in his light, life will tend to be a little easier and joyous.
1 Peter 5:6
So be content with who you are, and don’t put on airs. God’s strong hand is on you, he’ll promote you at the right time.
